So what is the difference between best diet and a lifestyle changes? Well today we are consequently bombarded with new diet ads on TV and magazines.
There are many fad diets that will cause rapid weight loss only to have you gain all the weight back when you resume your old eating habits.
So as you might have guessed, most of these diets don’t work. If you want to loose weight and keep it off for ever you will need to make permanent lifestyle changes that result in weight loss and no rebound weight gain.
Frequently, people are lured by the promise of quick weight loss with fad diets that don’t provide enough nutrition to support a health body and deprive our body of the foods they really need.
When an individual loses weight with a fad diet they will often lose lean muscle mass and if they revert back to their old eating habits they will surely gain all the weight back and then some.
The weight gain is often more than they lost because of the rebound effect and because the fat they gain burns less than lean muscle mass.
The metabolic rate of the fat is also lower than the muscle mass which means that it takes a lower amount of calories to gain back the weight they lost and then some.
After years of dieting and loosing and gaining weight they finally come to realize that a fad”diet” brings fatigue, frustration and aggravation.
Usually, the best thing is to take gradually steps. Nutritional changes are best accomplished in moderation. You should not totally deprive yourself of chocolate ice cream or pizza.
Instead, it is highly advisable to accomplish changes in your nutrition habits slowly and deliberately.
By acknowledging that your previous eating habits have led you to gain weight, you can make small changes in your diet that will lead to a successful permanent weight loss. One of your first steps can be to eliminate regular soda from your diet and replace it with diet soda. And slowly over time, you can also eliminate diet sod all together.
By gradually changing your eating habits you will feel better and healthier. Permanent dietary changes is your primary goal if you want to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
